Fleeting childhood moments, frozen in a photograph. That's why I love my job so much, giving other people special memories of their life's best times. But doing it for yourself can be hard to maintain at times. So I was happy to grab my camera on this sunny and unseasonably warm fall/winter day to snap a few shots of my adorable 3 year old niece Grace while it was just the two of us for the day.
Clad in her Christmas dress (she's been wearing it all day and night for a couple days now, refusing to take it off) along with a jeweled headband and costume beads, she twirled with abandon, falling into the piles of dried leaves, laughing hysterically. She was overjoyed when we spied a single late-blooming dandelion and the smile really says it all.
